Our denim hemming is done on a 100 year old Singer chain stitching machine. Jeans are typically hemmed with a 3-5 day turnaround.  Please let us know your desired in-seam length, or we can size you accordingly in person. Jeans are hemmed at the traditional 3/8 inch hem length. We can also accommodate special requests for a different hem length on request.

Have the need for a more tapered feel? Our tapering service provides customers with a narrower leg opening. It’s your way of customizing the fit of your off the rack pair of jeans to make them distinctly yours. The work is typically done from the inseam to ensure the selvedge integrity remains intact.

Have you lost some weight but don’t want to push your favorite pair of jeans to the side? Let us reduce the waist band so you can still fit into that pair you love so much.

This is by far our most popular repair. With our repair service you can breathe new life into your favorite pair of jeans! Crotch blowouts can happen to denim for multiple reasons. Luckily you can repair them with our darning service!  All repairs are done onsite here at Smokey Vale on our vintage Singer darning machine.
